Won’t sync with iOS version of Due

A total waste of money. Despite being signed in with same Apple ID on macOS and iOS the Due calendars will not sync in either direction. I’ve tried finding tips on the web to no avail, and the developer simply suggested making sure the same Apple ID is used. Everything syncs — mail, calendar, phone book, messages — but Due stubbornly refuses to do so.

A super-useful app

Great for reminding you to check on a game or an assignment or a promise you made to yourself that you don't want to forget to keep. Soooo easy.

Overhyped

I guess I bought into the hype on this app and bought it on a whim. On the Mac, it's quite odd becuase I keep getting a pop-up confirming if I want to quit when I have not interacted with the app. Quickly adding timers is NOT as easy as they say, SIRI doesn't understand all the time and uses Reminders instead of Due and I can't get this to fit into my workflow at all! Plus, the list of features you've paid for almost pisses you off to go to that level of detail of the minor number of upgrades this app has had. Partly due to Apple not allowing default apps, but I can't let this app off the hook--it's not what you've been told it is!

Great app!

Been using now for a few years... The updates are timely and make things go smoothier... Great for reminders, timing activities and even to memorize concepts and ideas every so often!

I have used this since the beginning and I love it!

This app is incredibly useful when it comes to managing my daily tasks. The persistent reminders are the best feature.

The best reminder app by far

The best reminder app; I rely on Due for a huge list of things, including birthday reminders, repeating reminders. Having it on all my devices and syncing constantly is a perfect solution. I've tried lots of reminder apps but this is by far the best.

This app is PERFECT

I've been trying find an app that has "nagging" auto-snoozing reminders to remind me to take out the trash, take my medicine and other tasks that I need to do at a fixed time, but may not be able to. Sometimes I am not able to find the notification and snooze it. This does it all for me. Just tonght I got reminded to take my medicine at 8:00 PM. But I wasn't home. While i was out, I got reminded at 8:30 and 8:45 to take my meds, I got home at 8:55 PM and had totally forgotten I still needed to take my medicine. But Due didn't forget. I got a notification at 9:00 PM and immediately took my medicine. I am never going fo foget to put the trash out again! Can I give this app 6 stars?

I cannot live without this tool

This app is one of the most important applications in my life - seriously. I use it to remind me to take my daily medicines. I use the timer to remind me that my laundry has finished the wash cycle and needs to be dried, or is dry and is ready to be folded. I use it to remind me to prepare for a couple key weeekly meetings. This application has been around a long time, and I am thankful for it. It continues to add new features, most of which I don't need, but I'll keep paying for it as I want it to be around for a long time.

Organization

This app makes me a more organized person. If you want to be a withitness person. This app is for you.

One of my most useful apps!

I've had this app for several months now, and it's extremly useful. I do wish there were more options beyond 1 hour for alert frequency. But at least I have snooze options I can work with. This helps keep my important notificaitons at the top of my screen.

By Far the Best Reminder App

I've been using Due for maybe over a decade (could be 12 years). I sincerely mean it when I say this is the best reminder/timer app. It strkes a perfect balance between simplicity & rich features. I have the iPhone, Watch, & Mac versions. Biggest pluses Easy to create reminders Customizable snooze affordances Integration with iPhone Reminders Large selection of notification tones Clean aesthetics Continual improvements Bottom line: I strongly recommend this app if you want a stable, simple, usable, and enjoyable way to manage your time.

A critical addition to my day

Saves me from forgetting things each day, week, month, and year. Absolutely essential to my day.

Does the job pretty well

It's nice to be able to quickly make reminders while at my keyboard. It's faster than fiddling with an iphone, esepcially when I'm already in the "hands on keyboard state." It's a solid app. It does have a weakness around synchronization between Mac, iphone, ipad. Frequently it works but sometimes it doesn't get the changes I've done on one of my devices to the others. Some years Due was solid on this but the last few, not so much.

Great app for reminders

I have been using this for years and it just keeps working and getting better. I really like how it persistently reminds until it's marked as done. Also I use a lot the repeat feature for things I do every week etc.

My daily companion

Better than memory training

One of my most used apps

I'm a heavy user of reminder software so this is probably my most used app. It is very configurable, syncs flawlessly between devices. I would probably give it a 4.5. star if given the option as there are some ongoing "features" that haven't been resolved or documented but in no way does it hinder the effectivness of the app.

I depend on Due, but..

I find that it's really quirky. The UI isn't very intuitive. I don't find it works well between the iPhone and Mac. But it gets the job done.

Please add no-disturb hours for night, otherwise it wakes me up in night with the Due alert sounds

I find Due app useful. Congratulations for making a great app. This is one of my favorite apps. I would like to suggest a feature to add no-disturb hours where alert sounds are inactive, otherwise it wakes up at night with its auto snoozed overdue tasks.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

Due runs my life, and its brilliant

Excellent in every way

You will not forget if ued properly

Best replacement for system reminders app

The system reminders app has gotten super buggy in recent years, to the point where I found it basically unusable. I've been looking for a good replacement for it, and after trying many different apps, settled on Due. Some of the key features for me are Siri support so I can make a reminder when I'm driving, good natural language processing so I can create a reminder without having to manually put in a time/date, and clients for both Mac and iOS. The UI for snoozing a reminder is also excellent, with presets you can set for certain times of day, and buttons to quickly offset from those times. It's still being developed, which is great. I have two top requests: 1. Have the natural language processing be able to handle creating repeating reminders. 2. Have the natural language processing be able to handle creating a reminder shortly before an event. For example "remind me that I have a doctor appointment at 10am, at 7am on Friday".

Total Lifesaver!!

As someone who is constantly forgetting everything, this app has been a total lifesaver for me! I ask Siri to remind me to do something at a date/time, and Due makes sure that I don't forget about it, even if I don't want to do it just that moment. I have my whole housework routine in here too, and my house actually STAYS clean now! Simply Amazing!

A Great App with a Dedicated Development Team

This app is indispensable – it fits perfectly in the niche between calendars and reminders. If there's something periodic or episodic that you need to be reminded of...repeatedly, if necessary - then Due is your best friend. It's great for remembering to take meds, taking out the garbage, updating progress reports and professional accomplishments, changing filters on furnaces and water softeners...you name it. You'll get the prompts you need, without cluttering the calendar or your ad hoc to-do lists.

Great APP

Great APP

An amazingly useful and simple app

I have used Omnifocus, Todoist, GoodTask, Reminders, all kinds of todo list apps. Due is the best for quick entry, snoozable reminders. I use it together with Meister Task, passing things to Due when I need the "nag me" functionality, so I do not forget things. I use it with Siry and is a breeze. The only issue is the list of reminders does not have a visual cue to which ones have a Snooze activated. I am hoping the developer adds this soon!

I'm using it for very-short-term planning and it works great

I like pairing Due app with Focused Work, so my current session focus can be "Due List." Works with Apple Watch. Due-things at a glance. Could be improved with a "Defer until" capability, to hide nag-worthy tasks when they can't yet be done.

AppleScriptable

I love that the app syncs between Mac and my phone and AppleWatch. It would be so nice if you could AppleScript the app nativly and if there were direct connections to the timers through key commands that way when I start a pomodoro at least I could automate that and have it show up on my watch when I am doing tasks away from my computer.

Keeps me aware

I engage in procrastination. Due allows me to keep pusing todo items into the future. Unfortunately it has not cured my procrastination. More sounds in the 5-10 second range please.

Saves my life

The mere fact that alerts repeat and repeat is enough to make this a must-have for busy or forgetfull people.

Due

The very best

The best of the best

Works on mac, ipad, phone and watch. syncs beautifully. Stsart a timer on my mac and get an alert on my watch when it is done. I use this every day and keep it runni9ng on my desktop and on my ipad as a slideover. I love this app and will keep using it as long as I can. Recent updates are fantastic. It looks great and works great. Indeispendible utility

Must have, runs my life...

This app is the best, buy it now and use it!!!

Essential

10× better than Apple's Reminders app. The auto snooze feature is a amazing. Don't know what I'd do without this app.

Better Than Any Taskmanager

Won't let you forget the things that must be done when they must be done at a specific time!

Due was better before the new version. Zero problems with th eold one. This one is relly buggy.

Due was better before the new version. Zero problems with th eold one. This one is relly buggy.

Worst application

Return my money. If it was possible to rate without stars, I would not put a single star.

Did not sync with reminders from Due for iOS

I was unable to sync Due for Mac and Due for iOS despite the fact they are both set up to sync with iCloud, which I understand to be a supported feature. I had hoped to manage the same task list from my computer and my phone, but there is no connection. I followed the support instructions to sync both with iCloud. I like Due for iOS, but I've not had success reaching support when it dumped all my data one time, so I don't expect a response on this issue.

Happy with Redesign! Some flaws...

I am very happy with this redesign (and am updating my review from 1 star to 4 stars). However, there are a couple of flaws that lower the score from a 5 to a 4. 1. Not very compact. My main problem is with the sidebar. It takes way too much space and there is no way to hide the sidebar (which I would prefer) or even resize it. ALSO: there are lots of complaints about the UI being less compact, so I suggest creating a "compact" mode that makes the UI more compact and information-heavy. I think that would be helpful to everyone. 2. Some weird bugs. When I use the command to show the window, it usually works fine and shows up in my full screen window. However, if I press the hide window command that is set (same as show window command), and then move to a different fullscreen window, it ends up moving me to the wrong window. This problem can be solved by just pressing cmd w though. Just a minor annoyance. ALL IN ALL: Really the only thing keeping me from the 5 star rating is that huge sidebar. It's way bigger than it needs to be.

I reached out to the developer some time back,

and I don't remember what I said, but I asked about whether a new update was coming to the mac any time soon. I didn't get a reply, but I felt kind of bad, because I hope it didn't come off like I didn't appreciate the existing Mac or iOS apps. This recent update, and the previous major redesign, is hugely welcome. I'm excited and happy to pay for these updates! Thank you and please keep up the great work.

Nice and Welcome Update

I didn't want to pay annually, but I understand the developer needs to make a living. I think that in a year I will be able to decide if paying for another year is worth the money at that time. You don't loose any features once you get them if you decide to stop your subscription, so I'm good with that. Many don't like the color scheme options. Not my favorite, but good enough. Hopefully there will be more before too long. I really like being able to dock the windows to the menu bar! I hope Due stays simple and easy to use, and syncing between iPhone and Apple Watch is reliable. The rest is just nit picky to me.

Much-needed update!

Thanks for finally updating this app to look and work more like the OS version.

Two steps back for the Mac app's UI

The window layout in the new version of the Mac app is less compact & efficient than before (sidebar versus top tabs), and the default light color scheme (Vanilla Lilac) is just flat ugly.

Not continuing with app

I'm dropping this app. It doesn't do enough to justify the trouble, and I have often found the notifications more annoying than helpful. I find the calculus of the annual upgrade pass requires too much tracking and monitoring to bother with.

Still kicking the tires.

LOVE the lilac theme. Can we get a dark lilac theme, please?

Used to be great; now, not so much

Due was an essential app for me for years, but has been going downhill. First, the reliability of alerts started to drop - sometimes I'd get them on one of my various devices, sometimes not. It got to the point that I learned not to rely on Due for anything actually important. Now they've redesigned the UO but managed to make it worse. Used to be a nice, small window that took up minimal space on the screen. Now the smallest possible window takes up about 10% of my (large) screen, and about half of that is blank white space. You can pay for the upgrade to "collapse" the sections, but that doesn't actually make the window smaller - it just hides the text and leaves a large, blank white space. Who wants that? I don't know whose ideas went into the redesign, but they defintely were not thinking of the user experience.

Thank you for updating!!

Thank you so much for updating this app! I have massive problems organizing my time and, more importantly, REMEMBERING things I need to do! I've been using the iOS and watchOS versions of this app for nearly years now. I had been waiting and waiting for the Mac update to buy it and I'm glad I did. Thanks for all your work!

Long Awaited MacOS Feature Update With a Terrible Theme

I really like the iOS app, but have held off buying the Mac app given how long this had gone without an update. Seeing that this update had been pushed, and finally went ahead and hit the buy button. It's nice to have feature parity with the iOS app and less skeuomorphic design, but I'm baffled why the deveveloper went with the ugly grandma-purple for the "light" themes instead of the muted greys in the iOS app. As a result, the only choices are to suffer that ugly color and not have the Mac app match the iOS app's UI, or forego the option of a light theme and use one of the dark themes at all times of the day. Full star deducted for this infraction on design and usability, already looking forward to an update that fixes this.

The new UI is horrible!!!

Why did you change it?!!! The new UI completely disrupted my flow. Due is a fundamental app for me and the new UI has completely hindered my daily flow. Is there a way to revert it to what it was before?

An indispensable part of how I function

Due on the Mac and on iOS work together to remind me of all the little regular (and some irregular) things I need to do each day, week, month, ... I put reminders in Due and then can rest easy. And the design is so thoughtful about how to put reminders in quickly! This has been a fabulous, essential app for years... And the Mac update is outstanding!
