Mac version not as polished or useful as IOS; MAJOR sync issues

I love the IOS app, but I’m on my mac all the time, so I thought having a counterpart on my laptop would be useful. It should be, except the UI of the Mac version is not very good, nor intuitive. More important, the syncing between the two is terrible. Syncing is supposed to be in the background, but it never works that way. I have to open the app on my iphone before it will sync, making the whole point irrelevant.

Please fix this. I’m a fan of the app, but paid good money for the desktop version and so far it’s a dud.
