May be causing kernel panics in Yosemite 10.10.5
First — I am very pleased with the iOS version of Due 2.x, and decided to buy the Mac version for desktop syncing and being able to keyboard enter notifications instead of screen keybs.
Unfortunately, after installing the MacOS version of Due, I begin to get occasional kernel panics (full system crashes to black screen) on a previously rock solid 2012 retina MPB system running 10.10.4.
After upgrading to 10.10.5, the Kernel Panics increased to daily occurrences, seemingly randomly, and while I was using any foreground App or external hardware combo. Analyzing threads in the crash log wasn’t identifying a specific cause of the crashes, but eventually I noticed that my Mac was crashing at the same time as I received Due notifications on my iPhone 5s.
I decided to remove Due three days ago and my system hasn’t kernel panicked since.
I’m not sure if the issue is with Due, Yosemite, or another software incompatibility, but I have stopped using the app for now (which as others have noted is not as polished or functional as the iOS version.)
It’s admittedly been six months since the last Mac OS update, but I will probably give the next version a try and see if the crashing stops.
